About Me

My name is Amy Knight, digital multimedia designer and brand strategist, and I've had a passion for making things since as long as I can remember. I studied Art and Visual Technology at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA, where I received my BFA in Digital Media (with a concentration in video production and animation), after which I began a career in PR and communications. In the summer of 2016, I made the move from my hometown of Washington, D.C. to begin another journey of creative self-discovery. I moved to Seattle, WA where I worked as a Creative Director and freelance designer, and in 2019 relocated again to sunny San Diego, CA where I have spent the past 6 years growing the California Institute of Applied Technology brand.

I value my experience as a Creative Director and senior designer, having worked in PR, market research, and communications, and eagerly apply the knowledge I've gained through it to get back to what I do best – making things! I am currently enjoying working on a range of projects pertaining to digital media: content strategy, brand development, UX/UI design, and more. I take on a strategic, technical, and detail-oriented approach to projects. I am always learning and teaching myself new skills, absorbing and exploring as many technologies, techniques, styles, mediums, and life lessons as one can learn daily through the creative process.
